Camp

What: Summer Camp 2009

When: July 10 – 12, 2009

Where: University of Wyoming Recreation Camp outside of Centennial


Dear Amazing Jobie Campers:


It is time to register for Summer Camp 2009!! Camp will be held July 10 – 12, 2009 at the University of Wyoming Recreation Camp just outside of Centennial.
For $40 per camper, you will receive EATS, a full day of activities, two evenings of fun and a moving rededication ceremony planned with the assistance of our incoming Grand Bethel Honored Queen, Cori Siekert.
For those of you who cannot spend the weekend with us, but would like to come to Play on Saturday, please enclose a registration fee of $15 and indicate on the registration form that you are a Day Camper.
Registration forms, money and permission slips must be received by June 29th. There are a limited number of beds available and will be on a first come first sleep basis. Registrations received after June 29th will be assessed a late fee of $5 per person. Please be considerate of this deadline, as we have lots of food and goodies to order and purchase before camp.

Sleeping bag (for warmth)
Pillow (for comfort)
Towels & Washcloths (soap, shampoo optional)
Stinky Stuff (insect repellent …..so you smell good)
Sun block (for designer skin)

Walking shoes (very important for some activities)
Jeans, shorts, a jacket or sweatshirt for chilly evenings

Camera (to collect memories)
Munchies (to share in the middle of the night)

A great attitude (lots of smiles)


Remember…….Your cell phone may or may not work in the camp area.
If you have a marshmallow shooter from last year and would like to bring it, you certainly may.

MASONIC SCHOLARSHIPS AND LOANS FOR JOB'S DAUGHTERS

JOB’S DAUGHTERS EDUCATION LOAN: This fund provides loans of up to $600 through the Grand Guardian Council of Wyoming. It is available to Job’s Daughters in good standing in Wyoming, and is applicable to any University, College, or Vocational School (does not have to be in the State of Wyoming.) The note bears an interest rate of six percent per annum after maturity. Selections of recipients is made by the Committee on Educational Loans. This loan can be applied for at any time, but the applications should probably be submitted around the end of May for the fall semester. Additional information is available from Mrs. Kathy Winders, Grand Secretary, 3630 Brookview, Casper, WY 82604.

KNIGHTS TEMPLAR EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION LOAN: This fund provides loans of up to $2,500 when one scholastic year is required to complete the course of study, or up to $2,500 a year when two scholastic years are required to complete the course of study. For college students, this means that they must have completed their sophomore year before they are eligible to apply for this loan. The maximum loan to any one student is $5,000 and can be applied for at any time. The loan is applicable to Universities, Colleges, or Vocational Schools (do not have to be in the State of Wyoming). The note bears a five percent per annum interest beginning at graduation or termination of studies. Principal and interest are paid in four annual installments, plus interest, starting one year after graduation or at termination of studies; first installment 10 percent; second installment 20 percent; third installment 30 percent; fourth installment 40 percent. Selection of recipients is made by the Knights Templar Educational Committee. Additional information is available from Mits Ito, Secretary, Knights Templar Educational Foundation Committee, 105 N. WYOMING YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is available to Wyoming Job’s Daughters and DeMolay through any local Eastern Star Chapter. It is to be utilized for undergraduate studies (Freshman through Senior) at Wyoming institutions of higher learning (University of Wyoming, Community Colleges, and Wyoming Trade Schools). The scholarship can be applied for on a yearly basis. Application forms can be obtained from any local Wyoming Eastern Star Chapter. The deadline for submitting the application is July 25.
